Koh Tao

We had booked a very nice bungalow on hostelworld and it was bit more than 3 km walk. We did not realised that it was mostly up hill and one of the hottest days and when we arrived by our accommodation it was fully booked. Hostelworld had maked a mistake. We quick booked an other accommodation named Baan Rock Inn, what was nearby the pier and restaurants. In the evening we went to watch the sunset on the beach. 

The next day we went to shark bay for snorkeling. The visibility was not good but I saw a black tip shark of 1,5 a 2 meter and a little turtle what maked it totally worth it. After we went to the 360 degree view point. 

The next day I did 2 dives while it was raining very very much!  First dive was a wreck dive and the dive after was a coral dive. It was really nice but again the visibility was not good!! I suspected much more of the diving in Koh Tao being such a diving island. Looking back we have been unlucky with the wheater this week for diving. 

The rest of the days we have been to different beaches and viewpoints on the island and eating lovely Thai food! 

Thursday night we went to a cabaret show. Waiting for the show to start we saw a part of a cool fire show. An other evening we went back to see more of the fire show and we had a nice cocktail and food before the fire show started. 

On Sunday we went on an amazing snorkeling trip where we have seen a baby black tip reef shark, a turtle bigger than me, an other very big turtle and lots of fish, coral and anemones. 

On Monday I have extended my visa for Thailand with another 30 days so I don't need to hurry to get a flight out of Thailand.

Now I am laying on tonate beach, snorkeling was nice here qua coral and fish but the amount of rubbish in the water is shocking. Tonight at 21.00 we will go on the night ferry to Ko Lanta, Mor is also coming to Ko Lanta what was a nice surprise yesterday. Thought that she would go to the maledives, probably she will go there soon but for now she is coming and we can share accommodation. Lucky because the hostels where full for this data, it is high season now here. Soon we go back to the hostel, we can have a shower (cold shower) by the hostel Blue Gelato where we stayed the last 2 nights.
