Bye bye Ho Chi Minh and hello Hoi An
18 december 2022 - Hoi An, Vietnam
The last days in Ho Chi Minh where relaxing days and I really enjoyed the Hostel where I was staying. The mother and son where making me feel so welcome! I booked online a ticket for the night train to Da Nang, what is closes stop by Hoi An. On the way to the train station I stopped by a coffee bar with wifi and booked the accommodation for in Hoi An. After I went for something to eat, I knew I was getting noodles because that is what she was pointing at. It was better than I was thinking, noodles, fried egg, cabbage, beef and chilli sauce I could do myself :) With a happy belly I went to the trainstation. I was in a cabin with 6 beds and I had one of the lowest beds. It was Friday night so there where also a lot of loud students on the train but after 23 0 clock they became more quite. There was also a couple with 3 young kids sharing 2 beds. I still have slept more there than I first was thinking.
In the train in had searched it all out bus number 1 to Hoi an, left and later on left again when I went out the trainstation in Da Nang. It was raining and I let my self talk in to a ride on the back of a motorbike to Hoi An. He wrapped my bags against the rain and put them on the bike. I really enjoyed the bike ride even in the rain.
The first evening in Hoi An I wanted to go to the Japanese bridge but because of the rain the river had also taken the streets. I had some food and went back with out seeing the bridge.
Today i went to see the bridge and on the way I meet a girl from Poland. We had lunch together and have booked together a cooking class for tomorrow evening. It was really cold and it's still raining non stop. Hopefully the wheater will be better soon. I like Hoi An. I am not of the big city's so this is more my place.
